Kathy Summers lives in Austin, Texas.  She was born in Chicago, and
moved to Spring, Texas with her family.  Growing up in the country north of Houston instilled an understanding and deep love of nature.  Plants, animals, and landscapes continue to be her favorite painting themes. 

Color! Color! Color!  Passionate about color, Kathy's work reflects her instinctive use of color and design, and she finds watercolor to be her most challenging and expressive means of communication.

She teaches classes and workshops.  Kathy believes creativity is best when shared and her studio is a favorite place for her students and her grandchildren.

Kathy is a signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society and the Texas Watercolor Society.  She is an active member of the Waterloo Watercolor Group, and the Capitol Art Society.

Her award winning paintings have been in numerous group and solo shows, and hang in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
